🎄 CYW are swapping walking trails for festive tales—just for the evening!

This December, we’re wrapping up the year with laughter, heart, and a touch of holiday chaos. To kick things off, we’ll be doing a Secret Book Swap! Bring a book you love and would recommend—wrapped up and ready to surprise someone. We’ll exchange them at the start of the evening, so everyone leaves with a new read to unwrap.

📚 Our Current Read:
We’re diving into Twas the Nightshift Before Christmas by Adam Kay—a hilariously honest and surprisingly touching glimpse into the festive season through the eyes of a junior doctor. It’s short, sharp, and packed with Kay’s signature wit—perfect for a cozy winter evening.

🎁 What to Expect:
Each month, we post the featured book for our upcoming meeting right here. You can read it at your leisure or listen to the audiobook while sipping mulled wine or wrapping presents. Come to the meeting ready to share your thoughts, your laughter, and your festive spirit.

🍷 Where We Gather:
We’re delighted to return to The Harte & Magpies pub just outside Amersham for our December meet-up. To support our lovely hosts, we ask that attendees purchase at least one drink during the event.

🍕 Feeling peckish? The pub serves up delicious pizzas and hearty meals made with local ingredients. Their seasonal menu is full of winter warmers—check it out on The Harte & Magpies website.

🎅 Festive Flair Encouraged!
Whether it’s a sparkly jumper, a Santa hat, or full elf regalia, feel free to dress with a nod to the season. No pressure—just a sprinkle of cheer.
