Our Current Read

The Bees by Laline Paull

This month, we’re reading The Bees by Laline Paull — a beautifully written and imaginative novel set inside a beehive society with strict rules, hierarchy, and danger lurking beneath the surface. The story follows Flora 717, a lowly sanitation bee who dares to challenge the rigid order of the hive. Blending dystopian fiction, survival, politics, and nature writing, The Bees is a unique and thought-provoking read exploring identity, power, loyalty, and what it means to be different.

We are delighted to announce that The Grouse & Ale has kindly agreed to host our meeting this month. To show our appreciation, we kindly ask that you purchase at least one drink while attending the event.
