Our Current Read
The Bees by Laline Paull
This month, weβre reading The Bees by Laline Paull β a beautifully written and imaginative novel set inside a beehive society with strict rules, hierarchy, and danger lurking beneath the surface. The story follows Flora 717, a lowly sanitation bee who dares to challenge the rigid order of the hive. Blending dystopian fiction, survival, politics, and nature writing, The Bees is a unique and thought-provoking read exploring identity, power, loyalty, and what it means to be different.
We are delighted to announce that The Grouse & Ale has kindly agreed to host our meeting this month. To show our appreciation, we kindly ask that you purchase at least one drink while attending the event.
They also have a lovely courtyard area weβre hoping to use if the weather behaves!
Our meetings are limited to 20 participants. If you can no longer attend, please update your RSVP to allow someone else the opportunity to join.
Please join us for an evening of good conversation, shared ideas, and an enjoyable discussion around our latest read.
Happy reading!
