What we’re about
Welcome to the Chicago Dynamo Community, affectionately known as ChiNamo! We're a vibrant group of Dynamo enthusiasts based in the Chicago area, united by our passion for enhancing building information modeling. Dynamo, in its essence, revolutionizes BIM by melding it with the dynamic data and logic of a graphical algorithm editor. It's the bridge that connects Revit and other BIM tools with a powerful scripting environment, opening a world of possibilities.
Our gatherings, held several times a year, are the heartbeat of our community. Each meeting is an opportunity to dive into the world of Dynamo, featuring insightful presentations from guest speakers and practical, hands-on sessions to sharpen your Dynamo skills. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just dipping your toes into Revit, Dynamo, computational design, or BIM, ChiNamo is your gateway to explore, learn, and connect.
As a member of the Autodesk Group Network, and the AIA-Chicago Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP) Knowledge Community, ChiNamo stands alongside a global collective dedicated to sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration across industries. We're not just about enhancing our skills; we're part of a larger movement to harness design technology for a better world.
