Learn how to play Hong Kong-style mahjong in a relaxed setting. This club is open to people wishing to learn how to play mahjong with no prior experience. Most of the members of this club have attended previous meetings and returned to practice their skills before attempting to play more advanced mahjong events around LA. For beginners or those needing a refresher, an introductory mahjong presentation and demonstration will be given at the start of every hour (7 PM and 8 PM). Most people are able to play (and win!) mahjong on their own after this presentation. Guided gameplay with other new players is offered after the presentation.

Feel free to bring snacks and drinks for yourself or to share.

Due to the need of having 4 people per mahjong table and to avoid people reserving a seat but failing to show up, we cannot offer refunds.

$5 parking at Mandarin Plaza across the street (let attendant know you're staying late) or street parking (free after 8pm)! An additional parking lot is on Broadway next to Wonder Bakery.

The $10 fee will be used to maintain the space, provide snacks and drinks, and purchase more mahjong equipment. If you wish to pay via another method, please message us or message Peter directly.
