Chinese and English Language Exchange

This is a group for two kinds of people - those who seek to learn Mandarin conversational skills and those who seek to learn and improve their English. This group is focused on facilitating the practice of the two language exchanges by having native-speakers there to model conversations in various social settings. We periodically organize fun events such as dinners or nature trips to explore different cultures and customs. Friendships and fun times are encouraged.

The majority of our Meetup events are held in the San Gabriel Valley, about 7 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Our Meetup events are held regularly on Wednesday evenings and occasionally on weekends.

Soliciting members during our scheduled Meetup events is prohibited. This includes solicitations from churches, temples, multi-level marketing (MLM), real estate, or other businesses outside of our organized events. Members who are interested in promoting their outside organizations may inquire with one of our organizers about setting up an event through our vendor & affiliate appreciation seminar program.

Our group is for developing a community of people who want to improve their language skills and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals. Discrimination or harassment of other members will not be tolerated. While we encourage networking and friendships among group members, please be respectful of each other’s personal boundaries.

Our community group on Meetup.com and WeChat social media app reserves the right to cancel or remove any member at our discretion for any reason at any time. We strive to maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all members, and this policy helps us ensure that our community remains aligned with our values and goals.

This group is very fun! It has survived for many years due to the great members that are kind, respectful, courteous to one another while enjoying socializing, practicing and helping one another learn and practice English and Mandarin.
