Beginner Mandarin Class

***This is for the first session of a 10 week class that meets twice per week. You may sit in on the first class before deciding if you want to commit to the rest!

#### Beginner Mandarin Course (HSK 1–2)

What: A structured, instructor-led course following a pre-established curriculum. At just $10 per class hour, our goal is to make learning Chinese accessible to everyone. Classes will follow a textbook, with homework assigned between sessions. While the focus is on speaking skills, students will also practice reading and writing.
For the beginner class, students should have a basic grasp of pinyin and pronunciation. If you’re not familiar with pinyin, we can provide self-guided materials in advance to help you get up to speed in advance of the class.

Who: Small group setting (5–10* students), led by a native Mandarin speaker.

When: August 25th – October 29th, Tuesdays & Thursdays, Beginner 6:30–7:30 PM

Cost:

• Class Fee: $200 (20 sessions over 10 weeks)
• Curriculum Fee: $50 (includes textbook, workbook, and printed materials)
• Textbook：New Practical Chinese Reader Series

How to Enroll: Send $250 via Venmo to @ChicagoChineseClasses (include your name and email in the memo). Payment is due in full before the first class.
Cancellation Policy: Full refunds are available up to 1 week before the start date. Once classes begin, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on remaining sessions.
