Intermediate Mandarin Course (HSK 3–4)

What: A structured, instructor-led course following a pre-established curriculum. At just $10 per class hour, our goal is to make learning Chinese accessible to everyone. Classes will follow a textbook, with homework assigned between sessions. While the focus is on speaking skills, students will also practice reading and writing.

For the intermediate class, students should have a grasp of at least a few hundred characters and words. To test you level, here is a useful tool, https://www.hsklevel.com/

Who: Small group setting (5–10* students), led by a native Mandarin speaker.
When: August 25th – October 29th, Tuesdays & Thursdays, Beginner 7:30–8:30 PM

Cost:

  • Class Fee: $200 (20 sessions over 10 weeks)
  • Curriculum Fee: $50 (includes textbook, workbook, and printed materials)
  • Textbook:New Practical Chinese Reader Series

How to Enroll: Send $250 via Venmo to @ChicagoChineseClasses (include your name and email in the memo). Payment is due in full before the first class.
Cancellation Policy: Full refunds are available up to 1 week before the start date. Once classes begin, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on remaining sessions.
