Evolution of Specialized Processors

Details
We are kicking off "Chip Chat" with a very distinguished speaker and a great topic :
TOPIC:
The emergence of the wide range of specialized processors is a natural evolutionary development. The physical architecture desires for all these machines are remarkably similar. State-of-art physical fabric and circuit designs are summarized that support these and future machines.
SPEAKER:
Robert Masleid has developed processors ranging from laptops to servers with IBM, Motorola, Apple, HAL, Fujitsu, Transmeta, Sun, and Oracle that span every generation of CMOS. He has 168 issued U.S. patents, primarily in the circuit design areas of clock distribution, power distribution, voltage regulation, cache and RAM, flip-flops, on-die-networks, adaptive bias, time-to-digital circuits, and metastable circuits. An alumnus of University of Rochester and Purdue, he has authored ten publications and three books. He is now a free-lance consultant and is working to eliminate the carbon footprint of industrial agriculture.
AGENDA :
6:30pm - 7:00pm - Registration and Pizza
7:00pm - 7:15pm - Introductions and Announcements
7:15pm - 7:45pm - Tech Talk
7:45pm - 8:00pm - Q&A and Discussions
8:00pm - 8:30pm - General Networking

GENERAL:
Going forward we will continue to have great talks, panel discussions and poster sessions at least once a month.
-
Please send us VLSI Hardware related topics that you are interested in.
-
Please let us know if you can speak on any interesting and trending VLSI
Hardware related topic or know of anyone who can. Please send Bio-
Data and a Summary of the topic. -
If you are an employer who has job openings, please feel free to post it
at the Chip Chat meet up page and let us know if you want to make an
announcement at the next meetup. -
Last but not least please let us know how we can improve.
Please email to chatchip6@gmail.com.
