THEME: Very High Percentage Dark Chocolate
Dark Chocolate of 80% and above!
Want to challenge your tolerance for high percentage dark chocolate? Dark chocolate is packed with high levels of flavanols (catechin and epicatechin - AKA antioxidants) as well as various essential minerals. The higher the percentage, the greater the concentration of these nutritional components.
These dark chocolates will not be as bitter/intense as the high percentage bars you are used to, and some may not be bitter at all! They will vary in flavour profile because of the fine aromatic cacao used (from various countries). Ethically sourced (better than Fairtrade certified).
Dietary Information: Vegan/Plant-Based, No gluten, no nuts. Note: I cannot guarantee no traces of the above mentioned. Some samples may be certified organic.
$10 per person (pay cash, card, or e-transfer at meetup). Includes: 4-5 samples and light refreshments. If you are having trouble joining here or wish to join last minute, please contact to see if I can fit you in.

How the meetups of Chocolate For Geeks will work:
- First 20 minutes people can relax, mingle, read books, hang out, grab a cup of tea. no need to come right at noon.
- We will mingle, socialize, maybe play a quick game or learn something about chocolate before the tasting.
- As a group we will taste, analyze, discuss the flavours (don't worry, it's not a test! and there are no right answers). Questions and feedback are encouraged!
- The Meetup will finish around 2:45-3 PM. Feel free to linger afterwards to socialize, relax.
Cancelling: Please let me know if you need to cancel last minute, or update your status on meetup go "not going" so that people on the waitlist have the chance to join.
