Saturday morning Bird Walk at Veteran's Park

SATURDAY MORNING BIRD WALK to Veterans Park, Okaloosa Island. Leader Doug Adkisson, (850) 902-6854. Meet at 7:30 AM on the north side of the Destin/FWB Convention Center parking lot. We visit the bayshore, barrier island woodland, three ponds, and a small cattail marsh. This is the best location in the county for spring migrants - warblers, tanagers, orioles, thrushes, etc. Migrant numbers vary greatly depending on weather patterns and other factors, but there are usually some interesting birds to see.
