Navarre Beach Park and Big Sabine Point Bird Walk

Saturday morning Oct 24 Bird Walk at Navarre Beach Marine Park and Big Sabine Point, with leader Jim Anderton, (850-543-2221). Meet at 0730 at Sandpiper Pavilion at Navarre Beach Marine Park. We will spend an hour or two looking for shorebirds, rails, and migrant species before convoying to the Pensacola Beach Park East parking lot and hike to Big Sabine Point. This is a good time of year for Nelson's Sparrow at both locations. You do not have to be a member to attend.
This walk will involve sandy, brushy terrain, around Sandpiper Pavilion, then the (optional) second half will require crossing over dunes and possibly through wet areas. Remember to bring water, sun protection, bug spray, binoculars, and camera if desired.
