Hi, I’m kaz from Kansai! It already feels like summer, doesn’t it? This time, we’re heading to Moji Port(Mojiko), a charming retro port town I haven’t even visited yet—even after a year and a half living in Fukuoka. We’ll be traveling by local train, skipping the express trains and bullet trains. Let’s enjoy a laid-back and affordable Choi TABI adventure!

◆ What’s Moji Port(Mojiko) like?
A nostalgic port town with buildings from the Meiji and Taisho eras. There are seaside promenades, cafés with ocean views, and literary or historical spots to explore. Just walking around makes you feel like a traveler from another time. It’s the kind of place where you discover something new every time you visit—perfect for anyone who loves photography or quiet, scenic walks.

◆What we will do in the event
We’ll meet at a meeting spot in Fukuoka City and take a train together to Moji Port. But first, we’ll enjoy an early lunch in Shimonoseki’s Karato Market—choose from fresh sushi, blowfish (fugu), or seafood rice bowls at very affordable prices. After lunch, we’ll cross the famous Kanmon Strait to reach Moji Port. There, we’ll spend a relaxed afternoon walking by the sea, admiring retro architecture, grabbing coffee at a cozy café, or taking photos of our favorite spots. It’s a slow-paced, go-with-the-flow kind of TABI, where we decide what to do together as we go, enjoying the vibe of the day and each other’s company.

こんにちは、Choi TABIオーガナイザー関西人のkazです。もうすっかり夏の気温ですね。今回のTABIは、福岡に引っ越してきてから約一年半僕もまだ行ったことがない場所、レトロな港町「門司港」です。特急や新幹線を使わず快速電車で向かいます。ゆったりとリーズナブルにChoi TABIを楽しんでくださいね。

◆門司港ってどんな場所
明治・大正の建物が多く残るレトロな港町。海の見える遊歩道やカフェ、文学や歴史を感じるスポットもあり、歩いているだけで「昔の旅人になった気分」になれる場所です。行くたびに違う発見があって、写真が好きな人や、のんびり町歩きしたい人には特におすすめ。

◆イベント内容
福岡市内の指定の集合場所に集まり、参加者みんなで電車に乗り、門司港方面へTABIします。まずは下関の唐戸市場でお寿司やふぐ、海鮮丼などを自由に選んで早めのランチ。新鮮な海鮮をリーズナブルな価格で楽しめるのがポイントです。そこから関門海峡を渡って門司港へ移動し、レトロな洋館や海辺の風景を眺めながら、のんびりと町歩き。カフェでコーヒーを片手に休憩したり、お気に入りの景色を写真に収めたり、参加者同士でおしゃべりしながら、その場の雰囲気で過ごし方を決めていく、ほのぼのとした時間を楽しむイベント(TABI)です。
