What we’re about
This is a group for those of us who are childless (can't have children), childfree (chosen not to have children) or child adjacent (Step/bonus parent, caregiver who didn't give birth) by any circumstance/s.
The aim of the group is to support women who have accepted, realised or chosen that they will not be a mother to move forward positively with their lives, while meeting up at lovely places for coffees, walks, meals or movies etc.
One of the group organiser's can read an essay out of the newly Kiwi authored 'Otherhood' book each time we meet, to start a conversation going with anything that resonates.
Often as our friends and peers become immersed in their children's lives (and later their grandchildren's lives too) it can be tricky to spend as much time together, and when we do catch up, the conversations continue to reroute towards those children.
This group is for women looking to widen their social circle who don't necessarily wish to have the topic of children brought up the whole time.
