A meetup where data professionals of all levels can learn, share, collaborate and grow.
Join us for:
- tutorials & teaching sessions on data science, engineering or analysis,
- paper and literature reviews,
- code reviews & project support.
Whether you’re studying or working in the field, a beginner starting your journey or a data science master, all are welcome!
We run meetups from March to October (inclusive).
We are looking for volunteers to help run the meetup or give talks - if you are interested please email adam.green@adgefficiency.com.

Read Papers Together - Reasoning in Latent Space
Turanga (Central Library), 60 Cathedral Square, Christchurch , al, NZIn this session we will read the Training Large Language Models to Reason in a Continuous Latent Space paper.
We will spend time reading the paper quietly together (first 20 to 25 minutes). We will then spend the rest of the time discussing the paper.
Meetup starts at 1800. Meeting room 4.3.

We are in a new space, with limited seating, which limits attendance. Because of this restriction, we are charging a token amount to attend the meetup. This is so that people who take up an attendance spot actually attend the meetup.
We are concerned that with such a small space, people will take up a spot and not attend, meaning people who want to come don't get the chance.
Please get in touch with me (email in group description) if you feel strongly about this.
We can only guarantee space if you get one of the attendance spots through this meetup event.
