Intentional Community interest get-together

My partner and I are looking to bring like-minded people together to talk about their ideas and dreams of Intentional Community living and situations as we're aware there's a lot of interest in these both locally and internationally. We know the value and benefit from meeting face to face to talk out ideas and knowledge sharing in person compared to just online, and would like to find others who may be interested in these sorts of conversations around future or existing ways of living as well.

We had aimed to use the Riverlution Cafe (Avonside, Christchurch) for the venue on fine days, but will try to have a back up plan for a dry venue for when the weather is less lovely to be outdoors (we used Dux Central last time, but we may try another venue if needed).
We're excited to meet new people and to have different conversations around aspects of intentional living, such as the different types of intentional living situations, governance models, how living in these situations may work in actuality, what sorts of activities communities may have within their framework (farming, horticulture, agriculture, small businesses etc), and other topics that people may want covered.

We want people from all walks of life to feel welcome, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or any other aspects that may generally marginalise people: we aim to be as inclusive and open to everyone as possible, and for everyone to be respectful of each other's differences, preferences, beliefs and views.

People are welcome to bring a friend or two along, but please let us know if possible (though mostly required if we're doing something indoors, otherwise it's no issue). We have altered the frequency of groups to once a month, as that feels manageable, and hopefully means it's more focused as well. We will try to make each Meetup have a specific 'theme' or focus, which may help people decide which events they wish to attend (of course, everyone is welcome to attend all!).
