🍙✨Onigiri & Japanese Food Culture Education, Experience,

Details
Hello everyone!
I’m Taka, and I host Japanese community parties with the idea that “good food and fun should be shared with everyone.”
Thanks to your support, I’ve been hosting monthly food-themed events in Christchurch to connect people through delicious Japanese cuisine.
🌸 This month’s event is…
A hands-on Onigiri (Japanese rice ball) making workshop!
We want children living in New Zealand to discover authentic Japanese food culture through this fun and educational experience.
At our recent Japan FIESTA, the onigiri we sold were incredibly popular, with many people saying “I want to eat them again!”
So this time, we’re bringing it back as an interactive workshop.✨
Part of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Christchurch Japanese Supplementary School.
This workshop is part of Japanese ‘Shokuiku’ (Food Education), which teaches not only cooking skills but also respect for food, health, and culture
⸻
🏫 What is the Christchurch Japanese Supplementary School?
The Christchurch Japanese Supplementary School is a Ministry of Education-approved weekend school where children from Japanese families learn Japanese language, culture, maths, and more every Saturday.
It helps support their studies upon returning to Japan, maintain their Japanese language, and deepen their understanding of Japanese culture so they can feel proud of their roots.
Your participation will help support the learning and future of these children.
