With that spirit in mind, we’re hosting monthly food-themed events in Christchurch to bring people together through delicious meals and warm conversations.

For August, we’re bringing back one of our most popular gatherings from last year — Oden Night!
Join us for a cozy evening featuring Oden, a classic Japanese winter dish made with a delicate, umami-rich broth and a variety of simmered ingredients. It’s comfort food at its finest — perfect for a chilly night!

📍 Location: Flat House in Ilam (details will be shared with participants)
🚌 About 10 minutes by bus from the city / Street parking available

🕒 Date & Time: Sunday, August 24th — from 7:30 PM
👨‍🍳 Guest Chef: @ansei12 from Ansei wa restaurant
🍶 Drinks: BYO (Bring Your Own)
• A small sake tasting will also be available!

💵 Fee: $30 (cash only)
👥 Most participants are in their 20s–30s
(We usually have between 10–30 attendees, depending on the event.)
