It's international Open Data day! Come and have a chat with locals who are interested in Open Data (or those who deal with an abundance of data in their profession).

We'll also bring out a few case studies where a sliver of insight helped individuals launch multi billion dollar business and where the historical path of data is converging towards.

Where time and interest permits, we'll discuss a local Chch origin story of a teenager who built a billion dollar company in three years after having a stroke of insight into human behaviour and months of relentless effort in developing one of the fastest growing business NZ has ever seen (though largely still undocumented as the company is now expanding rapidly around the world, poised to become the first NZ company to be worth $100 billion over the next decade).
