InternetNZ (https://internetnz.nz/canterbury-community-project-grant-round)has established a Canterbury Community Project Grant Round of $100,000 to help fund community projects focused in the Canterbury region that will extend the availability, use and benefit of the Internet and its associated technologies and applications in New Zealand. Specific areas can include, but are not limited to:
• Projects which support more widely available access to the Internet.
• Projects which deliver greater and/or better use of the Internet.
They are looking for things that might support wider access to the Internet or things that deliver better use of the Internet.
Previous funding for Christchurch specific projects, included a video-conferencing service for schools that had damaged communications infrastructure; digital literacy training and digital archiving.
