Story Teller Performance on Death & Dying
Details
Greetings Death Friends and Conversationalists
I am thrilled to announce - all the way from Waiheke Island - a very special one-off performance by Tanya Batt and musician Peter Forster on their Imagined Worlds South Island Tour.
Originally this was going to be the opening act for our beautiful Transforming Death Art Exhibition (since postponed to August).
Tanya and Peter will be performing a series of short stories called Toby or Not To Be. The stories arose from a series of conversations she had with her friend's son Toby, about death and dying. Toby was 4 years old at the time.
The event is whimsical and entertaining and suitable for all ages. Their stories will hopefully provoke us to think more deeply about our mortality.
• Cost: $20 per person. Please pay cash upstairs.
Melanie will be collecting payment at the door
• Duration: 80 minutes
• Guest etiquette: The doors will open upstairs at 12:15 with the show starting promptly at 12:30pm. Please, no late arrivals. Remember parking can sometimes be tricky.
Seats are limited to 20 people. There is always a waiting list of people keen to come. If after booking, for any reason you arent able to make it, please come back to this Meetup event page and change your attendance status - this frees up your seat for the next person on the waiting list.
(We also want a full house so that our performers are compensated for their travel costs, time and energy, so again if you cant come please free up yr spot for someone else.)
If you plan to order a snack or a drink please arrive early. Note, there is no F&B service during the show.
Seats are limited to just 20 people.
many thanks :-)
