You often hear that Nanite and Unreal Engine will take care of the heavy lifting for you, but by understanding a bit about what's happening under the hood, we can better leverage this powerful technology. In this talk, we will demystify how Nanite works and explore how to effectively monitor and enhance the performance of your game. This high-level discussion is designed to be accessible to all disciplines, utilizing visualizations to provide a clearer understanding of scene performance. Join us to gain insights that will help you make the most of Nanite in your projects, along with some other top performance tips.

Keegan has been in game development for nearly 15 years, specializing in Unreal Engine, networking, performance, and AI. Throughout his career, he has worked on a diverse range of projects, including mobile, console, PC, indie, and AAA titles, as well as making some short contributions to film. Passionate about growing the game development community here in Christchurch, he founded this very meetup and is proud to see how it has grown over the years.
