Spiritual Refresh Retreat! Join us for Glamping that Restores the Soul

Details

Description:

Join us for a spiritual refresh retreat at Camp Boonsboro (https://vimeo.com/176785052) which sits on 80 beautiful acres in Boonsboro, Maryland. The retreat will provide a fantastic opportunity to "unplug" from busy day-to-day life and enjoy intimacy with God in a beautiful natural setting. The camps gravel road leaves farm fields behind and winds its way between two small ridges to the central area of the camp. The rolling landscape is comprised of a mixture of woods and fields bordered to the west by the rambling flow of the Antietam creek. Let’s renew, refuel and be revived by glamping in a beautiful tranquil environment, spending time in retreat, and enjoying fellowship with like-hearted people.

Although we will be pitching our tents beneath the stars, bring as many of the comforts of home as you would like to make this an ideal getaway. The event organizers are working to bring a luxurious experience to the naturally beautiful spaces that will be used during the retreat.

Renew, Refresh, Restore, Refuel, Relax, Revive*****

The Trip Plan

Saturday morning 9am -10:30am is for arrival and tent set up. If you are an early bird, there will be time to enjoy the Antietam creek and explore the area. However, the retreat will start promptly at 11:30am, so please plan to arrive early so that you will have time to settle in. At around 5:30pm we will share a communal potluck style meal and close out the day around the camp fire. Please bring something that you would like to share for the potluck and indicate what and how much in the comment section. The event organizers will provide utensils, cups and plates.

On Sunday following breakfast, we will wrap up the retreat portion of the trip and depart at noon. For those interested in post retreat exploration, the Washington Monument State Park on the Appalachian Trail and the Antietam Battlefield offer hiking opportunities and the Crystal Grottoes Caverns are also nearby.

Look forward to seeing you for an amazing time of developing intimacy with God and fellowship!
