Passing through beautiful eucalypt woodlands, the trail crosses a series of shallow streams through the undulating landscape before leading to the stunning swimming hole at Lower Portals.
⏰Start: We start the track promptly at 9:00 am ***There is no reception, so I won't get your messages saying you are late. ***
📍Distance: 7.4 km (return)
🔼Gradient: A mix of gentle, level walking and steep descents and ascents
🥾Quality of Path: Generally clear and well-maintained trail with constructed steps in places
🚸Quality of Signage: Clear and easy-to-follow trailhead, but no markers. Trail junctions are marked
🚶♀️Experience Required: Some Bushwalking Experience Recommended. It will be challenging but not ridiculous.
⏰Time: 3-4 Hours (includes time for swim halfway)
🚗🚗 Meeting there: The trail starts at the Lower Portals Rd car park. Take Seidenspinner Rd west over the Logan River from Upper Logan Rd and then turn left onto Lower Portal Rd.
What to bring:
💦 2-3 litres of water
🍔 Food for mid-a hike swim stop
👙 Swimwear and hat (+ lightweight gym towel)
🧴Sunscreen and insect repellent.
