Gold Creek Reservoir Hike (5.5 km return)

Date & Time: Friday, 16 August – leaving 9:00am sharp
Meeting Point: Drive to the end of Gold Creek Rd, Brookfield QLD (approx. 6–7 km past the Brookfield Showground – bitumen road all the way)
Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Distance: 5.5 km return
Difficulty: Medium

Description:
Explore one of Brisbane’s hidden bushland escapes with a peaceful hike around Gold Creek Reservoir. Just a short drive from the city, this 5.5 km return trail winds through native forest with calming views of the reservoir and abundant birdlife. It’s the perfect way to recharge in nature without leaving the Brisbane area.

What to Bring:

• Water (at least 1L)
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Hat and sunscreen
• Light snacks
• Insect repellent
• Rain gear (weather dependent)

Who Can Join:
Suitable for those with moderate fitness. Children are welcome if they can manage the distance.
