What we’re about

WHO WE ARE:
The purpose of the group is to find like-minded people. We are a safe space where someone can talk about their problems (about 5-10 min). We then go around and spend a few minutes offering positive validation, feedback, and anything else we can do to lift you up.

It's hard when you're disabled or chronically ill. The Normies (normal healthy people) in our lives surely get sick of hearing about things that we need to express. This is a safe place to talk about how our pain and illnesses affect our lives. Additionally, many of us are full of knowledge and experience, and that also means we may come up with something you can bring to your doctor or loved one, or you can learn about how to really become your own advocate and maybe be heard when you're at the doctor or hospital.

  • These are virtual only via Zoom.
  • If you're local to the Phoenix, AZ, area, we meet up in person periodically. Keep an eye out for local, in-person events!

GUIDELINES:
NO DUMPERS. This means people who want to complain about everything and have an excuse at the ready for why nothing is their fault. Be OPEN-MINDED, and you may find a tip, trick, or solution you never thought of before. If you come to vomit out all your problems and leave them on us, then run away before the solution comes, that's dumping.
NO POLITICS OR RELIGION: Enough is enough. If you want to express your right to talk about politics, go find that meetup. Let's have fun together as we learn to cope with severe pain or chronic illness. Let's keep it chill.
