Announcements:
-------------------------
For Sunday April 6, 2025:

  1. This may be a little bit of a smaller, more intimate group. 😊 Do you have any burning questions on your mind? πŸ”₯
  2. We will continue with each person answering a different question from the box. Which means, please think of a DEEP question you want to add to the question box! πŸ“₯ (Or message me or Harris.)
  3. There will be a Deep Talk Winner πŸ‘‘ and a new Secret Prize! πŸŽπŸ†

-------------------------
RSVPs & Waitlists:

  • Thank you all for the incredibly surprising (and humbling) interest in Deep Talk 😊 It is a challenging position to be in, and a few people have asked about the Waitlist.
  • We are reserving 8 for first come RSVP. Then we will hold a few positions for new first timers, friends who we haven't seen in a while, as well as backfill if people cancel their RSVP.
  • If you would like to join us, please RSVP, even when full! We hope to meet ALL of you!

-------------------------
For new people joining us:

-------------------------

  • Bring your favorite dish! We do potluck-style in a more quiet setting at members' clubhouses and homes, where we can speak (and hear each other!) without the hustle and bustle of the usual Sunday lunchtime restaurants (and cost!). If possible, please bring healthy proteins πŸ—, salads πŸ₯—, cheeses πŸ§€, bottled water πŸ’§, dry red/white wines 🍷, and if you can, try to avoid sugary things! πŸ‹οΈ
  • Be mindful of RSVP! If you no show, and do not message anyone at least a day before, you will be removed from the group immediately. We may eventually do off-Meetup activities, and select from those who can abide by this rule. β›‘

-------------------------

Guiding Principles:

  • Tell stories! Be vulnerable! Share your perspectives through illustration AND depth. It will give others the courage to do so as well.
  • Be willing to stretch your comfort zone and points of view rather than to defend, maintain and validate them.
  • Listen to HEAR and witness rather than to generate a response [this isn't a debate club]
  • Be respectful of everyone else's unique life experience and perspectives
  • Do your part to ensure everyone gets an opportunity to be heard (be mindful of how much you are talking vs listening)
  • When someone is speaking, give them your full attention - no interruptions, no side comments, no phone scrolling.
  • Focus on speaking from your own experience rather than hearsay.

Come to meet new friends, express yourself, have fun, and enjoy some great conversations!
