What weβre about
ChuckWalks purpose is simply to invite folks of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds on an adventure into the natural world and guide them through proven mindfulness techniques. The intention is to help them disconnect from their stresses and reconnect with all that Nature has to offer. π
Anyone interested in connecting with Nature and each other, as part of our own individual wellness journeys should attend.
Are you willing to explore your senses and trust Nature to be your guide, and become a Mindful Wanderer?
Each event will be outdoors in Nature. We have some favorite spots that we go to a bit more regularly, but we are open to suggestions on locations for our Mindful Wandering. Mostly in the 50 mile radius of the Lehigh Valley.Β
All seasons. Almost all weather (will cancel for severe weather only).
Events typically involve a walk/hike of anywhere from 0.5 miles to sometimes up to 3 miles. This will always be clearly noted in each event.
Much of our walks are at a slower to moderate pace. We will be pausing along the route to connect with Nature and practice proven ways to settle in, get centered & grounded, and help alleviate some of our stresses and anxieties by learning to become more present. More Mindful.
Our adventures may also include:
Waking up and warming up our bodies.
Exploring the intimate nooks and crannies of some of the less traveled areas.
Spending some time with a special tree.
Maybe finding an off trail hiding place to settle in and take in the views while we practice a seated meditation (sit spot)
Really connecting with our senses and spend time with Nature.
Ending with "council practice" where we will reconnect and share our Experiences with each other.
During this time of Covid, please bring a mask/face covering which must be worn when we cannot keep 6 feet apart from each other or other folks sharing the trails.Β
Bring a small towel or pad for sitting for our sit spot meditation (20 minutes).Β
You may also choose to stand.
Bring water and a snack.
There is no guarantee the restrooms will be available, so please plan accordingly.Β
Most of the events are free (for the time being), however donations ($, Venmo, or Zelle) are appreciated and should be based on how valuable you find your experience to be as you invest in your personal wellness journey.
