Happy New Year everyone. New hikes for 2026 will be posted soon. Hope you all enjoy your holiday. Something different on January 17. A friend of mine is hosting a singer songwritter event in Franklin, NC. Join us to hear Tom Neilson. Tom specializes in Musical Satire and Social Commentary and has been nominated for the UN Nelson Mandela Awrd. We will meet at the Ingles in Hayesille, NC at 4:00PM and carpool from there to the Macon County Library at 149 Siler Farm Rd. Franklin, NC. Please let me know if you plan on going so that I can RSVP for all of us. Cost is a donation suggested at $15-20 which goes to the musician. You will pay at the door. This event is a pot luck starting at 5:00PM so bring a dish to share and the music starts at 6:00PM and should end by 8:00PM at the latest.
