BMT on Sisson Property in Cherry Log, GA

Meet at 9 am in the Home Depot parking lot in Blue Ridge near the DQ and Starbucks. We will drive a short way to the trail head in Cherry Log. This is a slightly different type of hike all on the BMT, but, mostly on private land and roads owned by the Sisson Company. We will visit a small chapel in the woods and a lake and the only BMT Shelter in Georgia and I would say one of the nicest hiking shelters anywhere on the east coust of the USA. Hike is moderate and well maintained about 4 miles round trip with a short portion on a paved road. This hike is dog friendly for well behaved dogs on leashes and their owners.
