Today in the United States many political and religious spokespeople invoke the ideal that this country was founded on “Christian principles”. However, the reality of 1776 is substantially different, and the Christian Nation myth has had major effects on American life.

Richard D, Keiser has a B.A in History from the University of Pennsylvania and a D.Phil. from Oxford University. He recently retired after teaching at the Community College of Philadelphia for 42 years. His research interests include American politics, British colonialism, and movements for social change.

A brief meeting will precede the program. This event is free and open to the public. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
