About us
The purpose of the group is to honor, promote, and steward the Italian culture through social gatherings and other events that celebrate and share the beauty of the Italian heritage and language.
The Meetup group is open to all who share the love and interest of the Italian culture and language and is sponsored by the Contemporary Italian Cultural Society (CICS).
Events are mostly to socialize and build friendships while conversing in Italian, if desired.

Lunch at Chatterbox Long Grove

The menu and libations are served in a rustic barn atmosphere and a family friendly environment. It has a patio for outdoor seating. Casual dress code. Let’s try it out! Meet for lunch at 11:30 AM, then walk over to The Olive Tap (302 Old McHenry Road) to check out the olive oils, vinegars, and specialty products at this new store!
