Book Club - The Maiden of Florence

The Book Club is now reading The Maiden of Florence by Katherine Mezzacappa. We’ll discuss the book over dinner at La Hacienda De Los Fernandez, 21520 W. Field Pkwy, in Deer Park. Weather permitting, we will sit outdoors.

The Maiden of Florence is a historical novel set in 1584 Florence, following an orphan named Giulia who is coerced into a dangerous political scheme involving the Medici family. Based on true events, it explores power, exploitation, and a woman’s struggle to reclaim her story.
