Details

This RPG Campaign Building workshop focuses on creating campaigns from vague concepts. The workshop isn't about rules nor session management, not world-building, but constructing the plot and narrative structure behind your game.

We’ll look at how to turn loose ideas into something cohesive: overarching plot, strong themes, engaging antagonists, meaningful conflicts, and hooks that pull players in.

We’ll cover things like:

  • Building a campaign from a single idea
  • Having a structured, plot-first foundation
  • Developing themes and moods that anchor your campaign
  • Creating antagonists with goals, timelines, & plans
  • Designing hooks that get players involved
  • Weaving plot threads, mysteries, & revelations that unfold naturally
  • Balancing structure with player freedom
  • Using subplots, pacing, motifs, & mood to create a truly immersive experience

For the best experience at this workshop, please come prepared with your own ideas for plot (or campaign concept) and possible antagonists.
