Mercy Hollow should not exist.

According to the Prime Line, the isolated settlement vanished into history nearly five hundred years ago. Its church burned. Its congregation scattered. Whatever happened there was buried and forgotten.

But history has changed.

In 2256, impossible records surface describing a religious ritual performed beneath the bells of an old colonial church. People enter a pool of black water seeking redemption. They emerge with unfamiliar faces, memories of lives they never lived, and knowledge no one in 1736 should possess.

The Vanguard Protocol is sending operatives back to the year 1736 to find out who changed the timeline and shut it down before the damage spreads.
This will not be a clean operation.

A storm has sealed off the village. The faithful are preparing for one final ceremony. Ghostly voices move through the walls, the dead refuse to stay buried, and something beneath the church has been waiting a very long time for someone to open the door.

Expect time travel, covert faction warfare, investigation, gunfire, supernatural horror, and decisions where doing the right thing may cause more damage than walking away.

You do not need experience playing The Vanguard Protocol. Pregenerated operatives and everything needed to play will be provided.
Gameplay will be explained.

Enter the church. Stop the ritual. Restore the timeline.

And remember one thing:
Not everyone asking to be saved belongs in this reality.
