As with all our games, No Experience Necessary! - 50 Fathoms (Savage Worlds) RPG - Maiden Voyage of the Golden Triangles One-ShotJester's Cards and Games , Milford, OH
50 Fathoms is heavily inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Pirates of Dark Water, and Thundarr the Barbarian.
You serve on the Rebecca, a medium-sized frigate currently hauling lumber from the Free Towns to the Kieran Empire. Four hours ago, your ship was hit by something large below the waterline. Several of the crew were sucked out the bottom in an instant, and a broken lantern set the hull ablaze. Your captain, Jonas Abraham from Earth’s England, managed to beach the ship on the shores of Torath-Ka (the Savage Land), but it seems the Rebecca is doomed. Captain Abraham tasked you with foraging out to find provisions while the other 20 men of the Rebecca begin salvaging what they can from the wreck.
Pregens and supplies provided.
The world of 50 Fathoms, Caribdus. The natives say a trio of witches were discovered working dark sorcery in the land of Ograpog. The three were tried, sentenced by King Amemnus himself, and drowned with the rising tide. But with their dying breath these Sea Hags uttered a dark curse, drowning Caribdus beneath fifty fathoms of water. Soon after, ships from the age of piracy on Earth drifted through the mists into the “Thousand Isles.” They’ve taken to this new world and now sail alongside its strange native inhabitants. Many believe these human visitors are destined to defeat the Sea Hags and save Caribdus...
Savage Worlds (SWADE) is a Fast! Furious! Fun! universal rules system for roleplaying games. It has everything you need to play with quick, simple, yet comprehensive rules for everything from combat to Dramatic Tasks, Chases, and Interludes. The emphasis is on less the bookkeeping and more of a focus on the players and their actions to keep the action and story rocketing along.
