What we’re about
Cincinnati Bitcoin is a group of like-minded Bitcoin-Only folk looking to learn about Bitcoin and meet others in the area who want to get involved in its development.
Meetups every two weeks, alternating formal events (where a topic is discussed) and informal (getting drinks together at a bar).
Our formal events are hosted at WHSE (near the museum center)

See all- Coldcard Q Bitcoin Wallet: Basic Setup and Usage1455 Dalton Ave, Cincinnati, OH
New to the Coldcard Q or thinking about taking the plunge into self-custody? This event is for you!
We’ll walk through the basics of setting up and using the Coldcard Q, a Bitcoin hardware wallet known for its strong security and fully air-gapped design (meaning it never directly connects to another device, added security!). Don’t worry if you’ve never touched a hardware wallet before, or if you have a device other than the Colcard Q. We’ll keep things simple and easy to follow and much of the content will be applicable to cold storage devices.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
- What the Coldcard Q is and why it matters
- How to set it up safely
- Backing up your wallet (without frying your brain)
- Sending and receiving Bitcoin
