Most climate models treat the socio-politico-technical processes that determine climate policy and emissions trajectories as exogenous. In reality, policy and emissions are the result of complex social and political processes. This talk introduces a framework for modeling the climate-social system, with feedbacks from public opinion, weather, and the economy.

This talk will be presented by Kayla Lunde, Research Assistant at University of California, Davis.

Session will take place 4-5pm, followed by networking 5-6pm. Refreshments will be provided. Meetups are hosted the third Wednesday of each month at Union Hall in OTR and feature subject matter experts and enthusiasts in the fields of data and analytics.
