Inside Enterprise AI: RAG, MCP, Skills, and Agentic Systems
Details
At September's meetup, join Venkat Bala, Senior Solutions Architect & Engineering Manager at CoStrategix, for a technical deep-dive that explores the core building blocks behind modern enterprise AI applications. The session focuses on how Large Language Models (LLMs) are enhanced with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and AI Skills to create intelligent, context-aware solutions.
We will explore the architecture and implementation concepts behind enterprise AI systems, including how applications retrieve knowledge, connect with external tools and services, and extend LLM capabilities beyond basic conversations.
Key areas covered include:
* Evolution of LLM applications and the shift toward enterprise AI solutions
* Deep dive into RAG architecture: document processing, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies, and grounded responses
* Model Context Protocol (MCP): understanding standardized AI integration with tools, data sources, and services
* AI Skills and tool-based extensions for enabling specialized AI capabilities
* Introduction to Agentic Systems and how RAG, MCP, and Skills enable more intelligent AI workflows
* Practical architecture patterns and implementation considerations for building AI-powered applications
This session is designed for architects, software engineers, AI engineers, and technical leaders who want to understand the technologies and patterns shaping the next generation of enterprise AI development.
Session will take place 4-5pm, followed by networking 5-6pm. Refreshments will be provided. Meetups are hosted the third Wednesday of each month at Union Hall in OTR and feature subject matter experts and enthusiasts in the fields of data and analytics.
Thank you to our sponsors:
- Gifthealth for providing refreshments. Gifthealth is a digital platform that automates the coordination between providers, insurance payers, and pharmacies to streamline the prescription lifecycle. They've built an interoperable system that handles complex tasks like electronic prior authorizations and real-time cost-optimization to ensure patients get their medications without the typical manual delays. If you're interested in a new career, check out their current openings.
- InfoTrust, our digital sponsor. If you are looking for a new position, check out their website at infotrust.com/careers- they are a great place to work right here in the Cincinnati area.
