Eleventy.js is a static site generator (and meant as an alternative to Jekyll), written purely in Javascript, which lets you create websites with easy to modify content. A classic use case would be a company landing page, a personal site, or documentation for a project.
Eleventy by itself is powerful. When you combine it with hosting providers (such as Netlify), a headless CMS (such as Ghost), or the new generation of static site hosts (like CloudCannon), it lets you superpower your development without needing to be an expert at Wordpress.
We'll look at how Eleventy projects work, strengths and weaknesses relative to other types of site generators, and how you can use Eleventy to build really excellent sites.
