Are we “on the bus” with Pierre Teilhard de Chardin?
Ooh la la!
Synopsis
"Who's driving the bus" is a metaphor used to represent the relationship between an individual and their thoughts and emotions. In this metaphor, life is the bus, you are the driver, and thoughts, beliefs, feelings, memories, and urges are the passengers. The key message is that as the driver, you choose where life takes you in congruence with or in spite of where your passengers want you to go. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s assertion that “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience” challenges us to determine if we are driving as our ego self or in surrender to our True Self.
