What we’re about
My name is Chris Turner, and welcome to the Cincinnati Veterans Rally Point. I’m a Marine Corps veteran who served on active duty from 2000 to 2005, and I’m also a proud father of four school-aged kids who are my world.
I’m starting this in-person meetup because many of us struggle to find meaningful, authentic connections with other veterans—especially here in the Cincinnati (and surrounding) area. Too often, we carry things alone when we don’t have to. You are not alone.
The Cincinnati Veterans Rally Point is a welcoming, mutual-aid based peer support group for veterans and the people who stand beside them—family members, friends, and supporters. This is a safe, respectful space to connect, share experiences, and support one another through life after military service.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of branch, rank, era of service, discharge status, background, beliefs, identity, gender, sexual orientation, or ability.
The camaraderie we had in the military didn’t end when we took off the uniform. It’s what many of us miss most—and it’s something we can have again. Let’s build it together.
Meetup Details:
Where: Our first meetup will be in Sharonville, 45241. It will be at a midsized building that I am renting in my neighborhood close to Sharon Woods Park. It is not located in the park. Meetups will be here until it gets warmer outside. Unfortunately, there are about 6-8 steps that go into the building. There is no wheelchair ramp.
When: The tentative date is Sunday January 25th, 2026, from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. I am just waiting to hear back confirmation that the building is available to rent on that day.
RSVP:
Space is limited due to the maximum capacity allowed by law to the building. If you know for sure that you are going then hit, “Attend” so I can reserve you a spot. This is on a first come / first serve basis. I have no idea what the final turnout will be, so I just need to be prepared.
More information will follow as time passes. Reach out to me with any questions.
