Cincy hiking, outdoor, and social club 20s 30s 40s

Hey all,

Wanted to try a trivia night thought I'd see if anyone like to join. Trivia starts at 6:30 but it's usually good to get there a half an hour prior to be able to get seats....so please be there by 6! The trivia is put on by last call trivia if anyone has ever done any of their events. I'm going to cap the attendance at 8 people so please only sign up if you plan to for sure attend and update your attendance if you're no longer able to come. We'll meet inside near the entrance. I might get food prior to trivia starting. Looking forward to it!

Most evenings I go for a walk along the Ohio river. Thought of posting it here to see if others want to join. I typically do about 7 miles but for this event we will only do about 4 miles (flat surface and all paved). We will set the pace based on how the group is feeling but most likely we will be doing around 3-3.5 miles an hour. Key highlights of the walk:

1. Murals in Covington depicting the history of the area.
2. Walk on Robeling Bridge and Purple People Bridge.
3. Cincinnati Skyline (Not the Chillies 😉)
4. Confluence of Ohio River and Licking River
5. Geese (Only if you are lucky😄)
6. Historic district with some houses as old as the city of Covington (1815)
7. Walk in KY and OH
8. 95% of the walk is along the river except when we will be walking through the Historic district and go to Newport.

If you are new to the area, I can also share some bars and restaurant recommendation as I had been living in this area for a long time now.

After the walk, we can grab a bite at The Gruff or any other place that works for everyone.

Note: It will be dark by the time we start but this is an urban walk so there will be street lighting for the most part. Please refer to the route screenshot I added for the reference.

There is a lot of street parking and public parking around the area.

planning on doing ~5 miles at a 3 mph pace (moderate). ***This hike is hilly but should be fine for those who hike occasionally.*** Might get a beer afterwards if people want to. Will cancel if it's raining. See you all there!
