KNIFE @ 6:15pm - IFI - "Late Late" Breakfast - Friday Night Movie
Details
Hi everyone,
With Culture Night falling on 18 September, I’m postponing this Friday night Meetup by one week to 25 September and coincide with the IFI Documentary Festival. This movie is already scheduled and looks like an amazing film to see in the Cinema. We rarely go to a documentary so I hope you’re also excited to see this. I've booked Seat I8 but feel free to sit where you wish.
After, we will then have dinner in the IFI Cafe Bar. If you wish to join us for dinner, please post a Comment to be included in the numbers.
Knife: The Attempted Murder of Salman Rushdie (107 mins) Cinema 1 - 6:15pm
KNIFE: THE ATTEMPTED MURDER OF SALMAN RUSHDIE | OFFICIAL TRAILER | IN CINEMAS SEPTEMBER 30
“Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side) follows acclaimed author Salman Rushdie in the aftermath of the 2022 attack that nearly claimed his life. Featuring previously unseen footage captured by Rushdie’s wife, Rachel Eliza Griffiths, and inspired by Rushdie’s own memoir of the same title, Knife explores his recovery, resilience, and the enduring importance of artistic freedom, and reaffirms the power of literature in face of hatred and violence.”
Dining: Note that they do not split bills there so it’s CASH ONLY again for this one, and there’s a 12.5% service charge on large table bookings.
