2022.09 CINLUG Meeting - IPv6
Greetings to our Free & Open Source Software fans!
Join us at our new time 6:30 PM on Sept. 7th as Mike Cowper [1] from Midwest Internet as he presents on Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).
For some time now, installing a GNU/Linux distribution using default options will result in an operating system with IPv6 enabled. But how much do you really know about that protocol? Mike will introduce you to IPv6, including tips on confirming that it works.
Many thanks to Moser Consulting[3] for allowing us to use their facilities. There will be a phone number at the entrance to call to be let into the building.
The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast over Jitsi Meet[4] for those who cannot attend in person.
[1] Mike is the Sr. Systems Administrator at Midwest Internet. He has been administering Unix and Linux servers for over 25 years. He is also a cyber security expert with Lionfish Cyber Security and Indianapolis Homeland Security. Much of the work that he does in those roles is education and awareness training.
