Many Microsoft Windows users are facing a problem in a few weeks: [Windows 10 support ends on October 14, 2025](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-support-ends-on-october-14-2025-2ca8b313-1946-43d3-b55c-2b95b107f281). With Windows 11 minimum system requirements [being stricter](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/minimum-hardware-requirements-overview) than Windows 10 requirements, Windows users on older hardware[1] have a decision to make:

1. Continue using Windows 10, becoming more and more vulnerable to un-fixed security issues as time goes on.
2. Buy a new computer.

But there is a 3rd option! Maybe try GNU/Linux -- there are people around the world willing to help during these "[End Of 10](https://endof10.org/press/2025-05-28-press-release/)" times! Members of the Central INdiana Linux User Group (CINLUG) are some of them!

Come to our Wednesday, October 1st meeting (at 18:30 [6:30 PM] EDT) to:

* Learn how to boot your computer off of a "Live USB/CD" image so you can try GNU/Linux \*without\* having to install anything or even touch your existing data!
* See how easy it is to install GNU/Linux alongside your existing Windows 10 installation.
* Participate in a discussion of which applications to use to do your work. (What do I use instead of Microsoft Word? Instead of Photoshop? Etc.)
* Receive a list of community resources on where to get help.

CINLUG thanks [Moser Consulting](https://www.MoserIT.com/) for hosting our meetings at their facility. (There will be a phone number at the entrance to call to be let into the building.) (Though in-person attendance is encouraged.)
