2024.05 CINLUG - Open Source OLAP Databases

Want to perform Big data analysis on your laptop? Join Adam Jennings at the May Central INdiana Linux User Group (CINLUG) meeting as he speaks on Open Source online analytical processing databases!

Adam’s talk will cover some of the history of online transaction processing / online analytical processing (OLTP/OLAP) databases, review some of the current top contenders (ClickHouse and DuckDB) and give example analysis using command-line tools.

The meeting will begin at 18:30 (6:30 PM) EDT on Wednesday, May 1st.

Adam Jennings first started his Linux journey with Mandrake 6.0, switched to Ubuntu with Warty Warthog, and has worked at technical sales roles at Google and a few startups. Currently a Solutions Engineer at SHI, supporting Google Cloud and all things Big Data.
