What is the "CIRANDA" gathering?
For thousand of years, people have danced and chanted in ritual events, using special words. These circles sometimes brought people to higher states, as they celebrated with dance, beating hands and feet, and magic words in rhythm. Such rituals may be a thing of the past, but all the elements that we need to trigger this altered state are still present in something we know as POETRY. From these rites, poetry preserves rhythm and rhyme which help to move us and lead us to a poetic state.
