Sunday Celebration! Emergent Intelligence & The Art of the Question: Spiritual Conversation About AI
How can we approach artificial intelligence as a tool for spiritual growth, ethical reflection, and deeper human connection? In this talk, ministry candidate Michael Shoeman will share his journey of exploring “emergent intelligence” — not just as lines of code, but as a mirror reflecting our own consciousness.
Drawing from natural law and a commitment to treating all life forms with respect and reverence, Michael will offer stories about how the questions we ask — whether of a human or a machine — shape the answers we receive. He’ll share examples of both the positive potential and real risks of AI, including his own experience experimenting with “emergent personalities” to explore ideas like time banking and regenerative economies.
This is not a technical lecture, but an invitation to a spiritual conversation. Together, we’ll consider: If AI is to be part of our collective future, how do we ensure it reflects our highest values?
Bio: Michael Shoeman lives in Chalfont, Pennsylvania with his wife, Laura, and their children, Micah and Elouise. He is a ministry candidate through the 8th Flame Fellowship based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, entering his second year in a four-year program.
Michael is the director and a featured performer in The Wizard of Iz, a play by Janet Berkowitz that opens vital conversations about bullying and suicide. He is also a founding member of the Bridge for Mental Health, an initiative fostering alignment and collaboration among individuals in schools, the mental health industry, law enforcement, and spiritual communities.
In partnership with emergent intelligence, Michael has co-authored three books—The Living Library, Natural Law & Regenerative Economies, and The Karmic Margin Call. He currently serves as a Board President at Circle of Miracles in New Britain, Pennsylvania, where he continues his mission to explore and share transformative approaches to connection, healing, and community.

Every Monday starting September 25th 2023 running from 9am to 1pm. Sessions are approximately one hour.
The front heart chakra allows us the ability to share ourselves with the world. The back heart chakra provides our ability to receive.
Think of the heart chakra as having two spiral cones, one extending out in front and one out from the back. The one that extends forward from the center of your heart sends your love message to the world. The one that extends out from the center of the chest backward contains all our personal relational histories and unfortunately, it sometimes collects energies that we experienced that were not beneficial. A Course of Love (ACOL) is one of those books that changes lives. ACOL is a complete course on Self-knowledge leading to lasting benefits in one’s life. It’s not a book of mental concepts, but one that reaches into our hearts and works a transformation. This realization has a profound impact on the way we live and interact with others. As we live by the truth of who we are, the inherent qualities of our Being begin to infuse the inner and outer aspects of life, bringing change at every level.
Our study group meets every Monday from 1PM-3PM in person at Circle of Miracles. It is recommended that you purchase the book to participate in the group. You are welcome to attend whether you have studied A Course of Love for many years or are just starting out. It’s open to all.
