## NRC & Illegal Immigration: Citizenship, Border Security & Immigration – Understanding the Debate
Questions surrounding citizenship, illegal immigration, border security, and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) continue to generate significant public discussion in India. These issues involve constitutional principles, national security, humanitarian considerations, administrative processes, and the rights and responsibilities of citizens.
Citizen Setu invites students, legal professionals, researchers, policymakers, civil service aspirants, journalists, educators, entrepreneurs, and citizens from across India to participate in a balanced, respectful, and evidence-based discussion on the constitutional, legal, and policy dimensions of NRC and illegal immigration.
The webinar will explore the legal framework governing Indian citizenship, the objectives associated with population registers and border management, concerns relating to undocumented migration, judicial developments, administrative challenges, and the balance between national security, constitutional rights, and humanitarian considerations. Participants will gain a broader understanding of the issue through multiple perspectives while engaging in constructive civic dialogue.
The session will include live opinion polls, an interactive Q&A session, a Myth vs Fact discussion, an open public forum, and participant experience sharing.
