What we’re about
If, like me, you lack the education and basic understanding of how to be an “active citizen,” then join me in finding out more. The goal for this group is to learn more about how the US government actually works, both in theory and in practice. That it seems both too complicated and too simple probably means neither is true. The antidote to a cycle of confusion, apathy, anger and ignorance is education. This time each month is set aside for learning.
This is not a political group. I'd like to focus on civics. Starting from scratch as it were.
We all have opinions and affiliations, however, I'd like to leave those at the door and focus on documentation, process, staffing, rights, and responsibilities of our government and its citizens as it is written.
